Overview

Pattaya is a city located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 165 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, in Chonburi province, eastern Thailand. It is one of the largest tourist centers in Thailand with 5 million visitors in 2004. The city has 95,000 registered residents in 2004. The city of Pattaya is a self-governing urban area which is over the entire Nong Prue and Na Klua as well as parts of Huai Yai and Nong Pla Lai. Pattaya is the center of Pattaya-Chonburi - the urban area of ​​Chonburi province with a total population of about 1,000,000 people.

Apart from the beautiful beaches, the island is also famous for its unique Sex Shows. Pattaya is divided into three zones, of which each area has a large and busy bus station. Naklua is the northernmost area. It is quiet and less noisy, but the beach is shallow and muddy. The middle is the center and the most attractive spot with two long streets running along the beach, the coconuts soaring on the beach, the bar, colorful lights, and bustling atmosphere. At the end is the Walking Street which is extremely colorful and vibrant at night. Jomtien is the southern area located on the other side of the mountains with dreamy restaurants which is close to the beach.
